Configuring KDQ Tests

A Data quality test is applied to any field in a Dataset.

Multiple tests can be applied to a single field.

Every test and its score will be synchronised to K and displayed in the related asset Quality tab.

Configure a KDQ Test

  1. Go to a workspace

  2. Select a dataset

  3. Click Add Tests

  4. Fill in the Test details

    1. Test type: Select Field test (only current option. Table level tests to be added in future release)

    2. Test: Select a test (more test types added every release. Contact you Kada account manager to get more added)

    3. Target field: Select the field to apply the test to

    4. Test name: Give the test a name. This is shown in K

    5. DQ Dimension: Assign the Test a DQ dimension. This is synchronised to K

    6. Test input: If the test requires additional input, add it here.

      1. Example: A product code field consistency check requires you to add an appropriate REGEX

    7. Filter: Apply any filters to include in the DQ Test.

      1. Example: Only apply a NOT NULL check on phone number if address is NOT NULL

    8. Click Next
