Importing Tables

New in Version 6.1

Importing tables requires the Workspace Admin role.

Once a source is connected, bring in the tables you actually want to manage. Only the tables you select get imported into KDQ Agentic — you're never forced to bring in an entire schema.

Importing a table

  • Go to Sources and open the connected source.

  • Browse its live schemas and tables.

  • Select the tables you want to bring in — you can select more than one at a time.

  • Click Import.

Tables that are already imported are clearly marked in the browser, so you can see at a glance what's already in KDQ Agentic and what isn't.

After importing

Once a table is imported, you can profile it straight away — profiling is how you (and the AI assistant) understand a table's data before writing rules on it. See Creating and Editing DQ Test Rules.

KDQ Agentic also tracks schema drift on imported tables — if columns are added, changed, or removed at the source, this shows up against the table once a rescan picks it up (see Adding a Data Source).
