Overview of Key Pages in K | Kada Knowledge Library

There are a number of key pages in K that we recommend all new users visit. Below is an overview of each page and what you can do there.

Key Pages at a Glance

Page	Overview
Home Page	Your personal view of the data ecosystem that includes your personalised Feed and lets you quickly access data assets that you follow
Data Profile Page	The source of knowledge for any data asset. Key tabs include: Overview, Usage, and Quality.
Dashboards and Insights	Tailored dashboards for Data Managers and Data Governance users. Note: Business Users and Data Workers do not see this section.
Search & Filters	Google-like search across all asset types. Save filter configurations via the Filters page, or schedule searches to deliver results automatically by email.
Data Applications	Purpose-built tools within K: Ask K (data Q&A), Code Search (search source code), Impact Assessment (upstream/downstream impact), and Import Bulk Edit (bulk changes via Excel templates).
Profile Settings	Access via your avatar icon — update preferences, manage linked accounts, configure your K Daily Briefing, and review your K access level.

Page Descriptions

Home Page

The Home Page is your personal starting point in K and keeps you informed of recent changes relevant to you and a quick way to access data assets that you follow.

Data Profile Page

The Data Profile Page is where all knowledge about a data asset lives. Access it by clicking on any data asset in search results, lineage maps, or collection views.

Key tabs on the Data Profile Page include:

Tab	What it shows
Overview	A summary of the asset — description, terms, properties, access info, and code references
Usage	Who has been using the data asset and how usage has trended over time
Quality	DQ check results synced from KDQ — scores, pass/fail status, and trends

Dashboards and Insights

Dashboards and Insights provides tailored dashboards for Data Managers and Data Governance users to manage and govern their data ecosystem. Dashboards include Usage Insights, Complexity Insights, Governance Insights, Data Quality, Issue Dashboard, Data Load Dashboard, and the Data Owner & Steward Dashboard.

🔒 This section is only visible to users with Data Governance, Data Manager, or Admin roles.

Search & Filters

K's Search & Filters function makes finding data as easy as searching Google. You can search across all asset types — tables, reports, dashboards, pipelines, code, and more.

Use the Filters page to save frequently used search configurations. You can also set up scheduled searches to send regular results to yourself or your team via email.

Data Applications

The Data Applications section provides access to purpose-built tools within K:

Ask K — Answer questions about your data ecosystem using natural language
Code Search — Search across source objects' code for specific patterns or criteria
Impact Assessment — Automatically assess the upstream and downstream impact of changes to critical data and BI assets
Import Bulk Edit — Upload K Excel templates to perform bulk changes across your data estate

Profile Settings

Access Profile Settings by clicking on your avatar icon in the bottom-left corner of K. Here you can:

Update your display preferences (light / dark mode)
Manage your K Daily Briefing email settings
Review and update your linked accounts
Check your K role and access level
Add or update your team memberships
